Why Give Tzedakah?

Tzedakah (charitable giving) and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) are fundamental values of Judaism, and really go hand in hand.  The importance of Tzedakah cannot be understated, in fact the Talmud says, "charity is equal in importance to all other commandments combined".

At Congregation B'nai Torah, we engage in many types of Tzedakah: monetary, personal, emotional, and sharing knowledge.  We encourage you to give in a way that is meaningful to you.  Whether it is sponsoring a kiddush, volunteering, or making a planned gift, there are various options to suit everyone's specific needs.
